Galvanize is a new annual festival launched in 2007. It is a celebration of the city's metalwork industry. The festival runs for 3 weeks from mid-November until early December and takes place at more than 20 different venues within the city.

During this period there are factory tours, exhibitions, demonstrations and talks given by leading contemporary metalwork artists.

Also included within the festival is Radiate, which showcases the best local silversmiths and jewellery makers. Here you can see the artists at work and also have the opportunity to purchase their work.
